Discover Scuba Diving Course Duration
The Discover Scuba Diving activity lasts approximately half a day, depending on sea conditions and the number of dives selected.
- 1 Dive option: approximately 3-4 hours
- 2 Dive option: approximately 4-6 hours
Discover Scuba Diving Prerequisites
To participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must:
- Be at least 10 years old
- Be in good physical health
- Feel comfortable in the water
- Have no previous scuba diving experience
Please note that flying after diving requires a waiting period, and certain medical conditions may require physician approval before participation.
What Is Included in the Discover Scuba Diving Experience?
During this half-day activity, you will learn some of the basic skills necessary to become a scuba diver while exploring the incredible underwater world of Mahahual.
The experience begins with a short classroom session where your instructor explains basic scuba diving concepts, safety procedures, and how to use the equipment. You will then practice a few simple diving skills in shallow water before boarding the boat to the reef.
Once at the dive site, you will complete your guided ocean dive with one of our experienced PADI instructors and discover what makes scuba diving such an unforgettable experience.
